Central Park is an urban park in the central part of the borough of Manhattan, New York City. It was initially opened in 1857, on 778 acres of city-owned land, later expanding to its current size of 843 acres.

Prospect Park is a 585 acres public park in the New York City borough of Brooklyn located between Park Slope, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Ditmas Park, Windsor Terrace and Flatbush Avenue, Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is part of the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway. Both parks were designed my the famed Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux.

Central and Prospect Parks are very similar, both having one way bike paths circling the park with lakes in the center.
