Discovering the Other New York

Brooklyn Bridge Park is an 85-acre park on the Brooklyn side of the East River in New York City. The park has revitalized 1.3-mile of Brooklyn's post-industrial waterfront from Atlantic Avenue in the south, under the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and past the Brooklyn Bridge, to Jay Street north of the Manhattan Bridge. The Park contains many spectacular vistas of the Bridges and downtown Manhattan across the East River. BBP is a favorite stop on the East River Ferry. The Ferry can be used as part of a cycling trip ...from Long Island City to Williamsburg, the Hudson River Greenway and even Governors Island.
