Discovering the Other New York

Brooklyn lovers!! …..lets explore the South Brooklyn coastline (with mask, gloves and bike of course) via the beautiful Brooklyn Greenway ….at sunrise before most are out of bed.

Brooklyn Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant, Williamsburg or Crown Heights are Brooklyn names we are familiar with. But mention Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, Marine Park or Gerritsen Beach and you may even find some New Yorkers scratching their heads. Carnarsie being the exception

South Brooklyn!! the theme of my trip this past Saturday. It took a pandemic for me “to see even more” than in any of my previous trips ….in becoming more intrinsic. How creative you are depends on your acceptance of our present predicament …..a responsible acceptance …but more so using it for a change that you were unwilling to make during good times. More about that at another time.

So as I planned my trip I was convinced that this time would be different in a small way …and it was …….and I used it as a glass half full experience. Here’s hoping that many others can do the same.
