Scene off the North County Trail

The South County Trailway is a 14.1-mile long rail trail stretching from Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx to Elmsford, New York. Construction started in the 1990s and was completed in 2011.

The South County Trailway was constructed along the main line of the former New York and Putnam Railroad railbed in Westchester County, New York.
The North County Trailway is a 35-mile long rail trail stretching from Elmsford, NY to Baldwin Place in Westchester County, New York.

Together both trails together are one of the longest and most scenic "asphalt" trails in the country
